Newman Liquid Waste Facility - Shire of East Pilbara

The Newman LWF receives waste from mine camps and administration buildings within the region and operates as a critical service for the Shire of East Pilbara. The LWF condition had been impacted by peak mining construction during 2012 – 2015 and incorrect disposal of waste oil to the facility.

WISE completed an asset condition assessment including geotechnical investigations and survey, preliminary design of a facility upgrade for increased capacity and dual train operations for maintenance purposes, and development of the Operations & Maintenance Manual including controlled waste receipt protocols.

Current works include DWER works approval application, detailed design, tender documentation and Superintendent’s Representative to construction management for the Newman LWF capacity duplication.
